Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has held a meeting with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.
“In the meeting held at Baluwatar today, Prime Minister Prachanda, Deuba and Oli dwelled on the government formation in Koshi Province, the appointment of Chief Justice and running of the federal parliament,” Press Advisor Govinda Acharya told Nepalkhabar.
The post of the Chief Justice is lying vacant from August 5.
The heavyweights held discussions on this issue in the meeting, said Acharya.
Similarly, the federal parliament has been postponed for five days after the UML lawmakers disrupted the House meeting on July 26, demanding the formation of a high-level mechanism to investigate the gold smuggling case.
“Prime Minister Prachanda, Deuba and Oli dwelled on the appointment of Chief Justice, parliament operation and the government formation of the Koshi Province in the meeting,” Acharya told Nepalkhabar, “The meeting ended on a positive note.”
The meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Monday.
