A five-year-old girl was gruesomely murdered after being raped in Kerala, India, Hindustan Times reported.
The kin of the victim had lodged a compliant saying that the girl was missing since last Friday.
Acting on the complaint lodged by the kin of the victim, the police launched a search operation and the body of the girl was found in Kerala's Ernakulam district.
Meanwhile, the police arrested a 29-year-old man Ashfaq Alam on charges of rape and murder based on the CCTV footage, according to the news.
The local court sent the accused to 14 days in custody.
The girl's body had been kept at the school before the last rites were performed on Sunday. Hundreds of people including, relatives, politicians and social workers attended the funeral rites.
The parents of the murdered girl are also migrant workers from Bihar. The girl was studying in class 1.
The girl was abducted, when her father had gone to work and her mother was busy with household chores.
