Actress Manisha Koirala on Thursday appealed to the general public to vote for Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) led by Rajendra Lingden.

Taking to Twitter, Koirala said that she will be taking part in election campaigns in favor of RPP. She dubbed RPP chairperson Lingden as young, dynamic and visionary leader.

"I'm taking some time off my busy schedule and heading home to participate in election campaigns in favour of the RPP that has got a young, dynamic and visionary leader Rajendra Lingden," she tweeted.

In her opinion, Lingden's understanding of nationalism and the country’s historic and cultural legacy puts him above other contemporary politicians in the country.

"I have been inspired in politics and towards my national duty by BP (Bishweshwor Prasad Koirala)," she said.

She also said that the country needs monarchy as its guardian and a vibrant nationalist party that cares for people’s socio economic uplift under a democratic framework.

"Communal disharmony and exclusion of traditional and nationalist forces in the name of progressive politics have caused huge damage to the country’s social and political fabric. We need to fix it. I may not be able to travel much areas but please vote for RPP and ensure its victory is my appeal and request to all Nepalis. Jaya Nepal," she added.
