Political parties have struck a deal on the sharing of chairpersons of parliamentary committees almost eight months after the parliamentary elections.
Prime Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal informed about the sharing of the chairpersons of the parliamentary committees in parliamentary part meeting held on Monday.
According to Dahal, Nepali Congress will lead four parliamentary committees, CPN (UML) will take charge three while CPN (Maoist Center) will lead two parliamentary committees.
Similarly, one parliamentary committee has been allocated for Janata Samajbadi Party.
The remaining two parliamentary committees will go to CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janamat Party, said Dahal.
Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have been denied any committees. RSP has 21 seats, RPP 14 while Janamat has only six seats in the parliament.
