The main opposition CPN (UML) has agreed to resume the parliament meeting which has been blocked for two weeks.

The UML said this in a meeting of the top leaders of the three major parties convened at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar today.

After Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha agreed to give an answer in parliament meeting on the case of 100 kilos of gold recovered on July 19, UML is ready to allow the parliament run.

UML whip Mahesh Bartaula said the UML will take further decisions after listening to Home Minister Shrestha's answers.

“We will let run the parliament. If the Home Minister's answer is not satisfied, the Parliament will be disrupted again,” said he.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire, President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of UML KP Sharma Oli participated in the meeting along with Prime Minister Prachanda.

The main opposition CPN-UML has been disrupting the meetings of the House of Representatives calling for a high-level investigation panel to investigate the gold smuggling case.
