Five killed as landslide buries moving car in Rudraprayag, India

Five people have died after a landslide fell on a car plying the Gaurikund Highway in Rudraprayag, India.

According to BBC Hindi, a car was found with five bodies inside while removing a landslide in Tarsali under Gaurikund Highway.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said, "A vehicle was found with five bodies inside while removing the debris by an excavator on Thursday at 6 pm." The deceased include three from Gujarat and one each from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

According to Rajwar, a landslide with stones fell on a moving vehicle from above the road about 3 km from Fata, near Tarsali village last Thursday at 5 pm.
