Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will fly to the United States of America on September 16 to participate in the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations.
Prime Minister Prachanda made public the dates of his America and China visits in a discussion with a group of editors on Tuesday.
Talking to the editors, Prime Minister Prachanda said, “I will leave for America on September 16 and address the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations to be held in New York on September 21.”
He will remain in America for five days in the course of attending the UNGA in the country.
The 78th UNGA is taking place in New York from September 10.
He, along with his team, will fly to northern neighbor China from America itself.
According to the schedule unveiled by Prachanda, he will fly to China on September 22 and hold high-level meetings on September 23 and 24.
During his visit to China, Prime Minister Prachanda will also reach an agreement with China on cross-border transmission lines.
According to Prachanda, the transmission lines will be constructed stretching between Kerung to Rasuwagadhi and Sankhuwasabha to Kimathanka.
He said he will also meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his China visit and hold talks on taking the BRI deal forward. The BRI agreement had been reached between Nepal and China in 2017.
