Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is leaving for Pakistan on Sunday.
Sandeep’s advocate said the Cricket Association Nepal has already been informed to make preparations to send him to Pakistan on Sunday evening saying that his case is unlikely to be heard that day.
“His case has been scheduled for Sunday. However, it is unlikely to be heard that day since it is in the eight number in a row. Even it is heard, it won’t be concluded on the same day,” said his lawyer.
Even if his case was scheduled for hearing earlier, it was postponed due to the controversy over the date of birth of the complainant’s mother.
Narayani Hospital of Parsa has already sent the complainant’s and her mother’s birth certificates after verification.
Other cricket team members have already left for Pakistan.
Sandeep’s lawyer has requested the court to postpone the hearing of the case if it is not held on Sunday.
Nepal will take on Pakistan in the inaugural match at the Multan Cricket Stadium on August 30.
Nepal will then head to Sri Lanka. The match between India and Nepal will take place on September 4.
