The election of the chairpersons of the parliamentary committees will be held on August 28.
A meeting of the chief whips and whips of the four major political parties held in the office of Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Thursday decided to hold the election of the chairpersons of all 10 thematic committees on August 28.
CPN (UML) whip Mahesh Bartaula informed that the process will start from August 27. Bartaula said that a notice will be published to this effect today itself.
He said, "The election of the chairpersons of all 10 thematic committees will be held on August 28. The candidature selection process for the chairpersons will begin on August 27. Once the elections are held, all the committees of the subject committees of the House of Representatives will get leadership. A notice will be published today.”
Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung, Chief Whip of Nepali Congress Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Whip of CPN (Maoist Center) Hit Raj Pandey, Whip of CPN (UML) Mahesh Bartaula, Chief of Rastriya Swatantra Party Whip Santosh Pariyar and General Secretary of Federal Parliament Secretariat Bharat Raj Gautam were present in the meeting. .
