Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government’s attention has been drawn to the activities being carried out in the name of identity.
Prime Minister Prachanda has said this while answering a question asked by MP Ishwari Devi Neupane in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
“Unity in diversity is the identity of Nepali people. The law of Nepal has given every person and sect the right to follow their own religion without hurting the religion of others,” he said, "The government is committed to allow social co-existence here in the country. The government stops hateful actions and expressions against each other's religion.”
During his reply, he said that the government will not allow anything that disturbs social harmony or increases hatred towards each other.
“It is everyone's responsibility to follow the Constitution of Nepal. We Nepalis have been living together for centuries", he said, "When it comes to identity, we should be able to respect the faith and identity of others. The government is serious about this,” said Prachanda.
