Nat’l pride projects: 80% progress of 14, 50% of 7 projects

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal ‘Dahal Prachanda’ has unveiled the progress details of national pride projects on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Dahal said the status of projects of national pride while answering the questions raised by MP Rishikesh Pokharel during the live question and answer program with MPs at the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday.

He said that two projects of national pride have been completed, the progress of 14 projects is above 80 percent, and the progress of five projects is between 50 and 80 percent, while that of two other projects is 50 percent.

Dahal said that a new target has been set to complete the postal highway within the next three years.

He said that the physical progress of the Pashupati Area Development Trust project is 66 percent and the overall financial progress is 65.73 percent.

Similarly, he informed that the physical progress of the Lumbini Development Master Plan is 88 percent and the financial progress is 60.34 percent.

According to Prime Minister Dahal, only the initial phase of the Nijgadh International Airport is being done and the construction process of the airport will be taken forward after once the appropriate modality of investment and construction is in place.

He said that 350 million rupees have been allocated for this project in the current financial year. He further said that within one and a half months after the monsoon subsides, the damaged structure in the Melamchi water supply project will be repaired and water distribution will be resumed.

He clarified that the government is insisting on completing other projects of national pride as soon as possible.
