US Senator Hollen holds talks with Speaker Ghimire and Oli

Senator Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, who is visiting Nepal, has held political meetings.

Hollen and CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had a meeting at the office of the UML parliamentary party in Singh Durbar.

Hollen, who is visiting Nepal, was interested in the rest of the peace process in his meeting with Oli.

Similarly, he held a meeting with Speaker Devraj Ghimire today.

Held at the Speaker's office in Singha Durbar, various aspects of bilateral ties including US cooperation and parliamentary exchanges were discussed during the meeting.

Speaker Ghimire mentioned that the United States of America is an old friend of Nepal and said that the relationship has been cordial since Nepal established diplomatic relations with the United States in 1947.

Ghimire expressed his belief that the exchange of high-level meetings will further strengthen the relationship and understanding between the two countries.

Hollen held talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday.
