Chinese Vice Minister for Culture and Tourism Li Qun visited Basantapur Durbar Square on Sunday.
According to officials, the Chinese official inspected the cultural heritage site jointly reconstructed by the two countries. The nie-storey building was damaged during the 2015 devastating earthquake.
China extended Rs 150 million in aid for the reconstruction of the nine-storey building.
Li, who arrived here on Saturday on a five-day visit, also attended a training for Nepali people on Chinese culture and literature organised by China Culture Centre in Kathmandu.
Officials at the Foreign Ministry said that there are no official meetings with the ministers. The Chinese delegation is scheduled to visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar Square.
