Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he is serious about the new map issued by northern neighbor China on August 21.
Prime Minister Dahal said so during an all-party meeting held at Singha Durbar this morning.
Nepali leaders in general have objected to the map issued recently by China stating that it did not incorporate Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh, which Nepal claims to be its territory.
Prime Minister said he is serious about it after leaders in the meeting asked him to raise the issue of the new map of China during his upcoming visit to the northern neighbor.
“I am serious about it. I have made it clear about our new map,” said Dahal, “I have made it clear that our neighbors should recognize the map endorsed by the parliament. I will put forward Nepal’s concerns based on your suggestions.”
Prime Minister Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Oli, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur, Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut, Janamorcha Nepal Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, incumbent Foreign Minister NP Saud, former foreign ministers including Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, Ramesh Nath Pandey are participating in the meeting, according to the prime minister’s secretariat.
Prime Minister Dahal will fly to China on September 22 from USA and hold high-level meetings on September 23 and 24.
