Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal to only keep five officials including security personnel from his secretariat in the delegation to New York.
Earlier, Foreign Minister NP Saud had made public that there would be 24 people in the Prime Minister’s delegation to New York.
Of them, 10 persons were from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat and the Office of the Prime Minister. Now the delegation has been reduced to smaller in size.
The Prime Minister told Chief Secretary Aryal to keep only five people from his secretariat in the delegation in view of financial condition of the country.
“A total of 10 people including Prime Minister, personal secretary, two security officials, photographer and the equal number of officials will go from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” according to an official at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Chief Secretary Aryal said Prime Minister’s delegation will be small. He is submitting a list of visiting team members on Tuesday.
Foreign Minster NP Saud along with Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal is leaving for New York on Tuesday.
