CPN (UML) Vice Chairman and fomer Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang was sleeping at his residence in Baluwatar on Monday night.
Around midnight he went to the bathroom. His family members found him unconscious in the toilet around at 1 am today.
After that, he was rushed to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.
"But by the time he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead," UML Standing Committee member Sher Bahadur Tamang told Nepalkhabar.
According to UML leader Tamang, it was around 2 am when Nembang was pronounced dead.
"Nembang, who returned from Dharan on Sunday, had fever since Monday morning," Tamang quoted Nembang’s family sources as saying.
He was resting at home all day on Monday after he had a high fever.
