Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres have held a meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his delight to have met with Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UNGA.
"Secretary General Guterres and Prime Minister Prachanda discussed various issues including Nepal's peace process, climate change, Sustainable Development Goals, Least Developed Countries, development cooperation," the Prime Minister's Secretariat tweeted.
Besides, Prime Minister Prachanda and Secretary General Guterres also discussed strengthening mutual cooperation and partnership of the United Nations in Nepal.
The Prime Minister's team, which left for America on Saturday evening to participate in the General Assembly, reached New York on Sunday.
Prime Minister Prachanda's team was welcomed by Lok Bahadur Thapa, the Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations at the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Prime Minister Prachanda will address the General Assembly next Thursday. After that, Prime Minister Prachanda is scheduled to leave America for China.
