Nepal in favor of banning nuclear test: Foreign Minister Saud

Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud said Nepal was in favor of prohibiting nuclear test.

At a meeting with Executive Secretary of Comprehensive Nuclear-Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Robert Floyd on Wednesday moring, Minister Saud clarified Nepal's stance for banning nuclear test.

Foreign Minister Saud also informed Executive Secretary Floyd about Nepal's commitment for the prohibition of nuclear test.

Likewise, Foreign Minister, who is in New York in course of attending the 78th session of the United Nations, met with UN USG Atul Khare this morning.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the UNGA, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthening cooperation between Nepal and the UN in the field of UN Peacekeeping, according to Nepal mission to the UN.

Minister Saud who is in New York has intensified sideline meetings.
