Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has been received with warm welcome in Hangzhou, China.
Prime Minister Prachanda was received by **Minister for General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) Gao Zhidan, who is also the President of Chinese Olympic Committee, and Nepali Ambassador to China Bishnu Pukar Shrestha at the Hangzhou International Airport on Saturday morning.
Prachanda along with his team will stay at Hua Jia Shan Resort in Hangzhou tonight.
After visiting America, Prime Minister Prachanda arrived in Hangzhou, China this morning via Hong Kong. Prime Minister Prachanda has reached China for a week-long visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to have a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Prachanda at 12:30 pm today in Hangzhou. For which, Prachanda will go from Hua Jia Shan Resort to Xihu Hotel, where he will be welcomed by Xi with lunch.
Prachanda will return to the resort after an hour-long lunch meeting with Xi. At 4:20 pm from the resort, Prachanda will again go to Xihu hotel for a bilateral meeting with Xi. According to the Prime Minister's visit schedule, there will be a formal meeting between Prachanda and Xi from 4:40 pm to 5:10 pm.
According to Prime Minister's Press Adviser Acharya, although this meeting has been kept for 30 minutes in the tour schedule, it likely to be extended.
Although there are two more important meetings in Beijing, the Xi-Prachanda meeting in Hangzhou will guide Nepal-China relations in the future. President Xi and Prachanda are expected to discuss politics, geopolitics, and bilateral ties between the two countries in Hangzhou.
Although China has proposed a draft of the BRI implementation agreement with Nepal, Nepal has not responded to it, yet. There will be a discussion between Prachanda and XI on this matter, but it will depend on Prime Minister Prachanda's decision whether or not there will be an agreement.
