Paras Khadka, the former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has been elected as the secretary of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN).
In the election held on Saturday, Paras Khadka won the post of secretary by beating his nearest rival Prashanta Bikram Malla by 11 votes.
Out of of 85 votes cast, Khadka got 48 votes against 37 votes obtained by Malla.
Having retired from all forms of cricket matches two years ago, Paras was making preparations for the CAN elections.
Former captain Khadka was elected unopposed as a member of the Kathmandu District Cricket Association.
After being elected as the president of the Bagmati Provincial Cricket Association, Paras filed his candidacy for the post CAN secretary.
