Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has held a bilateral meeting with the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Zhao Leji, in Beijing on Monday morning.
In the meeting held at the Great Hall of People, Prime Minister Prachand said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has given importance to the Nepali delegation's visit to China. "The meeting with President Xi held in Hangzhou became fruitful," said Prachanda in the meeting that lasted for half an hour.
In response, Standing Committee Chairman Zhao in the meeting said, "I heard that the meeting between Chinese President Xi and Nepali Prime Minister Prachanda became fruitful." He further said that National People's Congress willing to work with Nepal.
Zhao is the third-ranking leader of the seven-member Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China after President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
Earlier in the morning, Prachanda went to Tiananmen Square, where Prachanda he offered floral tribute at the Mao Memorial Hall.
After that, Prime Minister Prachanda will hold bilateral talks with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People. Following the talks, some agreements will be signed between Nepal and China in the presence of the two prime ministers.
Prime Minister Li will then host a luncheon in honor of Prime Minister Prachanda. Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to visit the Huawei Beijing Research Center at 2 pm.
