19th Asian Games: Nepal sure to win medal in kabaddi

 As part of the 19th Asian Games, Nepal has entered the semi-finals of women's Kabaddi.

After entering the semi-finals, Nepal is certain to get a medal in women's Kabaddi in the 19th Asian Games.

Nepal entered the semifinals as the runner-up from Group B after Iran defeated Bangladesh by 54-16 points in the ongoing tournament in Hangzhou, China.

In Kabaddi, there is a provision that all the four teams that reach the semi-finals will get medals.

For women's Kabaddi, Nepal participated in the Asian Games for the first time.

"We have succeeded in getting a medal for our country in the first participation", Bishnu Datta Bhatta, the coach of the Nepali women's kabaddi team said, "The women's kabaddi team has elevated Nepal's fame in the world."

He said that he will not be limited to the bronze medal by performing well in the semi-finals as well.

Iran and Bangladesh were in Group 'B' along with Nepal. Iran entered the semi-finals of the tournament as Group B winners.

Nepal defeated Bangladesh by 37-24 points on Monday in the first match and lost to Iran by 19-43 points in the second match on Tuesday.

Bangladesh has been eliminated from the tournament after losing to Nepal and Iran. Iran had won the gold medal in women's kabaddi at the 18th Asian Games.

Similarly, India, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and South Korea are in group 'A' for women's kabaddi. Nepal will now play the semi-final against the winner of Group A.
