Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud has left for Israel to rescue the stranded Nepalis.
Minister Saud left on a flight of Nepal Airlines' wide-body A330 that took off at 2 am on Thursday according to the minister's secretariat.
The Nepali students who have been stranded in the conflict-hit Israel will be repatriated within two days, the Foreign Ministry has said. The government has said that the airfare incurred while repatriating Nepalis will be borne by the government itself.
The airbus which was supposed to take off at 11 pm yesterday had been rescheduled for 2 am today.
According to the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, the entire legal process of the airbus has been completed.
The airbus will transit Dubai before landing in Israel.
The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday afternoon decided to send a plane for rescue under the leadership of Minister Saud.
