The ruling coalition has decided to field Indra Angbo of CPN (Maoist Center) as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province.
Prime Minister Prachanda's personal secretary Ramesh Malla told Nepalkhabar that a meeting of the ruling alliance held in Baluwater on Thursday decided to filed Angbo as the Chief Minister.
"The meeting of the alliance decided to field Angbo for the post of chief minister, the Maoist Center parliamentary Party leader in Koshi Province," said Malla.
The four parties of the ruling coalition -- Nepali Congress, Unfied Socialist, Janata Samajbadi Party and Maoist Center -- have 47 MPs in the Koshi Province Assembly.
On Wednesday, there was a discussion among Koshi leaders about who should be fielded as Chief Minister.
Rajendra Pandey, the vice chairman of the United Socialist, informed that the top leaders sat down and reached an agreement after the Maoist Center and Nepali Congress staked their respective claims.
Province Chief Parshuram Khapung, in line with Article 168 (5) of the Constitution, has given a deadline to the parties to submit claims for the formation of a new government by 5 pm tomorrow (Friday).
