The identification of provincial assembly (PA) members of parliament (MPs) is being done for the appointment of a new Chief Minister in Koshi Province.

Province Chief Parshuram Khapung has prepared to appoint the Chief Minister after verifying the signatures of the Provincial Assembly members.

After Indra Bahadur Angbo of the CPN (Maoist Center) and Kedar Karki of the Nepali Congress submitted their claims for the post of Chief Minister, the Province Chief Khapung on Friday decided to authenticate the signatures of the parliamentarians submitted by both parties.

Khapung has given time from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday for the province assembly members to turn up in the Provincial Assembly with ID cards establishing identity for picking a chief minister in the Koshi province.

Elected Province Assembly member Kedar Karki of the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre)' Koshi Parliamentary Party leader Indra Bahadur Angbo on Thursday had presented their clams to the post with signatures of equal 47 members.

Issuing a press statement, Province Chief Khapung on Friday called for the province assembly members to be present with ID cards on Saturday since signatures of eight PA members of the NC were found in both groups.
