Four candidates – two incumbent presidents and two vice presidents – have registered their candidacies for the post of president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
In the elections to be held on Tuesday, Dr. Badri KC from Russia, Mahesh Kumar Shrestha from Japan, Rabina Thapa from America, and Rajendra Kumar Sharma from Qatar have filed their candidatures.
As many as 18 candidates have registered their candidacies for six vice presidents. Britain's Rojina Pradhan Rai and Saudi Arabia's Yasmin Begum are vying for the post of a female vice-president.
Abdul Basid from Qatar and Roshan Thapa from Zambia have registered their candidacies for the post of a youth vice president.
Similarly, Buddhi Sagar Subedi and Gauri Raj Joshi have filed their nominations for the post of General Secretary. There are five nominations for two Deputy General Secretaries.
Likewise, 15 nominations have been filed for six secretaries. Canada's Bimala Sapkota and Hong Kong's Radhika Gurung are in the fray for the post of a women's secretary.
Japan's Sudan K Thapa and UAE's Thakur Prasad Dhungana are vying for the post of treasurer.
There are six candidates in the fray for three assistant treasures.
Similarly, Amrita Thapa and Trisha Sharma are in the fray for the post of women's assistant treasurer.
Anuja Pradhan and Devaki Khatri Gurung are vying for the post a women's coordinator.
According to the election committee, Rabin Adhikari and Supendra Ghising have filed nominations for the post of a youth coordinator.
