Twenty-three candidacies have been elected unopposed for the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
They were elected unopposed as there were single candidatures for the post of Regional Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator.
No candidacies have been filed for eight positions in the 11th session of the NRNA.
In the list of final candidates announced on Tuesday night, only four candidates are vying for the position of President.
Dr. Badri KC, Mahesh Kumar Shrestha, Rabina Thapa and Rajendra Kumar Sharma are contesting for the post of President.
Representatives present in Kathmandu will vote on Thursday, while Nepalis abroad will vote tonight online on the basis face verification.
According to the Election Committee, Pushpa Raj Bhattarai has been elected unopposed as Africa Regional Coordinator. There was only one candidacy of Bhattarai who was living in Tanzania. There is no candidacy for Regional Deputy Coordinator for Africa.
Australia's Dinesh Pokharel has been elected as the coordinator of the Oceana region. Australia's Arun Kumar Thakur, Gokul Prasad Ghimire and Komal Raj Pathak have been elected unopposed as deputy coordinators.
Govinda Subedi, Purna Chandra Baniya, Sanjaya Kumar Shrestha were elected unopposed as the deputy coordinators for America.
Similarly, Khesna Limbu has been elected unopposed as Africa Women's Coordinator, Indria Tripathi as America's Coordinator, Lakshmi Giri as Middle East Coordinator and Renuka Lama as Oceana Coordinator.
There was no candidacy for Africa's deputy coordinator. Bindu Niraula was elected unopposed for the US region. Bhawani Tiwari, Sarita Bhandari Paudel have been elected unopposed as the co-coordinator of Europe. There was no candidacy for Asia Pacific.
There was no candidacy for Africa Youth Coordinator. Swaraj Khatri for America, Bikas Basnet for Asia Pacific, Prakash Bhandari for Europe, Niranjan Prasad Silwal for Middle East, Surya Acharya for Oriana are elected unopposed.
Similarly, Bishal Rana for America, Narayan Khadka for Asia Pacific, Krishna Kumar Thakur for Middle East are elected unopposed.
There was no nomination for the Youth Co-ordinator in Oceania, Europe and Africa. Likewise, and the coordinator of the second generation.
