Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that corruption and impunity should be abolished for good governance in the country.
At a greeting exchange program held at Sobhit Bhawan in Biratnagar on Thursday, Koirala said that there will be no impact on the central alliance due to the Koshi Province government.
Claiming that the current coalition government will last for a full term, he stressed unity in the party. Meanwhile, he attributed the country's poverty to political parties and leaders of Nepal.
Central member Koirala argued that political instability is the reason why Koshi Province is lagging behind in development and suggested that their role is crucial to maintaining social unity and harmony.
He said, "Nepali Congress provides opportunities and protection to the leaders and cadres who join Nepali Congress from other political parties."
