UML takes lead in six constituencies in early vote count

The main opposition CPN (UML) is taking lead in the early vote count of federal parliament and provincial assembly elections.

The CPN (UML) is taking lead in at least six constituencies in the early vote count, leaving the ruling parties behind. According to the preliminary vote counting, UML candidates are maintaining lead in Lalitpur-1 (Nawaraj Silwal), Lalitpur-2 (Prem Bahadur Maharjan), Lalitpur-3 (Amrit Khadka), Dhanusha-3 (Juli Kumari Mahato), Jhapa-2 (Dewaraj Ghimire) and Banke-3 (Kismat Kakshapati).

In the early vote count, the ruling Nepali Congress is taking lead in two constituencies—Mutang-2 (Yogesh Gauchan Thakali) and Bhaktapur-2 (Durlav Thapa).

Similarly, Rashtriya Swatantra Party led by Ravi Lamichhane is taking lead in two constituencies – Kaski- 2 (Madhav Prasad Kadel) and Kathmandu-7 (Ganesh Parajuli).
