Gagan Thapa takes lead in early vote count for Kathmandu-4

Nepali Congress candidate Gagan Thapa has taken lead in the early vote count for Kathmandu-4.

As of now, Thapa has received 668 votes while his arch rival UML's Rajan Bhattarai is trailing behind with 634 votes. Rashtriya Swatantra Party's candidate Thakur Mohan Shrestha in in the third in the tally with 64 votes.

In the 2017 general elections, Thapa was elected as a member of parliament under the first-past-the-post category.
