Two ministers take oath as CM Karki expands cabinet in Koshi

Two newly appointed ministers of Koshi Province have taken oath of office and secrecy.

Ganesh Upreti, who became a minister from CPN (Maoist Center) and Kamal Prasad Jabegu from CPN (United Socialist), took oath before the Province Chief Parshuram Khapung on Friday evening.

Chief Minister Kedar Karki has appointed Upreti and Jabegu as ministers as per the ruling coalition's decision.

However, their ministerial portfolios are yet to be finalized.

According to Article 168 (5) of the Constitution, Karki, who became the Chief Minister with the support of UML, expanded the cabinet without consulting the leaders of UML.
