KP Oli takes lead in Jhapa-5 as vote count gets underway

CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli is taking lead in the early vote count for Jhapa-5.

According to the preliminary vote count, Oli, who is also the former prime minister, has received 3,212 votes while his rival Nepali Congress candidate Khagendra Adhikari is trailing behind with 1523 votes.

The vote count in Jhapa-5 began at 12 noon today.
