Four Nepali women runners are participating in the prestigious ultra-trail run 'UTMB TransLantau' to be held in Hong Kong today (Saturday). They arrived in Hong Kong on Sunday itself to participate in the event.
Of them, Sunmaya Budha, Padamkumari Sunuwar, and Sabina Rai are competing in the 50 km and Anita Rai in the 100 km ultra-marathon race.
Likewise, Dinanath Bagale, a resident of Hong Kong, is participating in the 129 km ultra trail race. The race will start at 9 am today from Mui Wo Beach on Lantau Island. According to the organizers, the 100 km marathon will start at 9 am and the 50 km will start at 10 am.
As for the 129 km marathon, the competition was held on Friday night.
Sunmaya is a contender for the competition while Anita and Dina are experienced. Padam Kumari and Sabina are making their international debuts.
Padamkumari and Sabina, who started running last year, told Nepalkhabar that they were very excited to run an international marathon for the first time.
