Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) candidate Ranjita Shrestha is maintaining lead in the ongoing vote count for Kailali-1 under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Of the votes counted so far, Shrestha has garnered 8,236 while her closest rival Nepali Congress candidate Ramjanam Chaudhary is trailing by 5,183 votes. Likewise, the CPN-UML candidate Tapendra Rawal is in the third position with 1,848 votes.
