Nepali Congress candidate Pradeep Poudel has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Kathmandu-5.
Poudel secured victory by defeating Senior Vice President of the CPN-UML, Ishwar Pokharel. He bagged 15,237 votes while his closest rival Pokharel got 10,172 votes. However, the Election Commission is yet to officially announce the vote count results.
