KP Oli re-elected HoR member for sixth time from Jhapa-5

Chairman of the CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as a member of House of Representatives (HoR) from Jhapa-5.

Oli, the former prime minister, defeated his rival candidate Khagendra Pandav Adhikari by 28,388 votes.

Oli bagged 51,619 votes while Adhikari, a common candidate of the ruling electoral alliance, received 23,231 votes.  

Oli contested elections to HoR in alliance with the Kamal Thapa-led Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

This is the sixth time Oli got re-elected from Jhapa-5. Earlier, he won elections in 2048 BS, 2051 BS, 2056 BS, 2070 BS and 2074 BS from the same constituency.
