Sarat Singh Bhandari of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (SLP) has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Mahottari-2.
Bhandari defeated his rival Dr. Bijaya Kumar Singh of Tarai Madhes Loktantraik Party by a huge margin of 14,070 votes.
According to the Officer of the Returning Officer, Bhandari garnered 25,190 votes while his closest rival Singh received 11,120 votes.
Similarly, Ram Parikshan Yadav of CPN-UML got 10, 258 votes.
Bhandari has been active in the field of politics for over 40 years.
With this, he has been elected for seven times out of nine that he contested the elections so far.
