New Zealand's former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has tied the knot with her long-time partner.
Ardern, who was engaged to boyfriend Clarke Gayford 5 years ago, tied the knot amidst a ceremony on Saturday. Although it was planned to get married in 2022, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Family members, friends, and close politicians attended her wedding ceremony on Saturday.
The wedding took place in Hawke’s Bay at Craggy Range Winery on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, about 310 km north of the capital Wellington, according to Ardern's spokesperson.
Former Prime Minister Chris Hipkins was also present at the wedding. Ardern, who became the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand in 2017 at the age of 37, tendered her resignation from the post in January 2023.
