NC leads in 3, UML 1, JSP 1 as vote count underway in 5 constituencies

Vote count yet to start in Bajura, Dolakha and Syangja 2

The results of 157 constituencies under the first-past-the-post category of the House of Representatives (HoR) have been announced. The results of eight constituencies are yet to unveiled.

Of the eight constituencies, the vote-count of three constituencies -- Dolakha, Syangja and Bajura -- have yet to start. Currently, the vote-count is underway in five constituencies.

Of the five constituencies, Nepali Congress is taking lead in three constituencies, CPN-UML and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) are taking lead in one constituency each.

JSP’s Ashok Kumar Rai is taking lead with 14,426 votes against 14, 208 received by Goma Tamang of Rstriya Swatantra Party in Sunsari-1.

Similarly, UML’s Bhagawati Chaudhary is leading with 19,987 votes followed by Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar with 15,223 votes in Sunsari-3.

Gyanendra Bahadur Karki is leading with 23,439 votes followed by 23,341 votes of Jagadish Prasad Kusiyait in Sunsari-4.

 Likewise, NC Candidate Narayan Khadka is leading with 21,833 votes in Udayapur-1. UML’s Manju Chaudhary is following with 20,120 votes.

 In Dhanusha-4, NC’s Mahendra Yadav is leading with 23,565 votes followed by UML’s Raghubir Mahaseth with 23,107 votes.
