Koshi CM expands govt, inducts six ministers including two state ministers

Koshi Province government has been expanded on Friday.

Chief Minister Kedar Karki has inducted six MPs of the ruling coalition in the Koshi government today.

The newly elected ministers were sworn-in on Friday evening at the Office of Province Chief Parshuram Khapung.

Among the new ministers, Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar from the Nepali Congress has taken over the Health Ministry, Congress MP Ram Kumar Khatri has got the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Congress MP Indira Thapa has become the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Planning. Similarly, another Congress MP, Sunita Kumari Gurung, has become the Minister of State for Home Affairs and Law.

Rajendra Kumar Karki from CPN (Maoist Center) has taken over the Ministry of Social Development, Narayan Burja Magar has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy.

Earlier, Shamsher Rai from the Congress was the Home Affairs and Law Minister in the Koshi Province government.

Maoist Center's Ganesh Upreti is the Minister for Tourism, Forestry and Environment and CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Kamal Prasad Jabegu is the Minister for Physical Infrastructure.
