Govt projects Rs 1.8 trillion budget ceiling for FY 2024/25

The government has prepared a budget ceiling of 1.8 trillion for the next financial year (FY) 2024/25.

The Ministry of Finance gave this information during a press conference on Friday morning.

The resource committee led by the vice chairman of the National Planning Commission, Min Bahadur Shrestha, has prepared a budget ceiling of Rs 1.8 trillion for the next financial year.

The government will prepare the budget for the next financial year on the same basis, Finance Minister Prakasharan Mahat said.

The budget for the current financial year 2023/24 is Rs 1.751 trillion. The budget for the next fiscal year will be half a billion more than this.
