Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretaries Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Gagan Thapa have discussed preparations of the upcoming parliamentary party elections on Tuesday evening.

In the meeting, they discussed the upcoming parliamentary party elections of the NC, besides exchanging congratulatory messages to each other on their elections to the House of Representatives, an NC leader said.

“NC general secretary duo held a meeting at Thapa’s residence in Gyaneshwar in Kathmndu. In the meeting they discussed the elections results, the upcoming elections of the parliamentary party among others,” the NC leader told Nepalkhabar.

The meeting has been viewed crucial at a time when Thapa is doing homework to contest the elections of the parliamentary party leader of the NC.

Thapa has said he will contest the elections to the leader of the parliamentary party.  Sharma is returning to Jhapa tomorrow morning itself, the leader added.

Earlier, leader Sharma had promised to help Thapa to become the parliamentary party leader.

Leader Sharma came to Kathmandu from his home district Jhapa by a flight today evening and went straight to Thapa’s residence in Gyaneshwar.

Sharma has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa 1 and Thapa from the Kathmandu 4 on November 20.
