Nepali Congress central member Dr. Narayan Khadka has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Udayapur-1.
Khadka defeated Manju Chaudhary by a margin of 2,000 votes.
According to the Election Commission, Khadka garnered 31,270 votes while his closest contestant Chaudhary received 28,891 votes.
This is Khadka's fourth consecutive win from Udayapur-1.
Khadka is also the incumbent Minister for Foreign Affairs.
