NEPSE nosedives 70.31 points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged by 70.31 points on Tuesday.

The bench mark index, which closed down two hours after it resumed following frequent circuit breakers on Monday, experienced a steep fall today.

The NEPSE went down by 70.31 ponints to settle at 2007.69, after posting a transaction of 11,300,000 units of shares worth around Rs 4 billion.

While 33 companies made profits by 8.73 percent per unit of shares, the 213 companies lost by 10 percent per unit.  

Similarly, the share prices of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju), Joshi Hydro, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) took a nosedive. Sonapur Minerals has recorded the highest share transactions of Rs 410 million when the transaction took place for 69,208 times.

Similarly, Shivam Cements sold its shares worth Rs 240 million.
