Mahesh Bartaula has been nominated as the Chief Whip and Sunita Baral the Whip of the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party.
UML Chair and its Parliamentary Party Leader KP Sharma Oli assigned the responsibility to them today. Padam Giri who was the Chief Whip before this was Monday inducted as a minister in the newly-formed Council of Ministers. Now, Bartula succeeds him.
Lawmakers Bartaula and Baral have both been leaders since they were students.
