Foreign Affairs Ministers of India and China have congratulated newly elected Foreign Minister of Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi have sent separate messages congratulating Foreign Minister Shrestha on his election to the post of Foreign Minister.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Foreign Ministry of Nepal said the newly elected Foreign Minister Shrestha received messages of congratulations from his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar.
On his appointment as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon Narayan Kaji Shrestha received a message of congratulations from the Minister of External Affairs of India H.E. Dr. S. Jaishankar. DPM/FM conveyed sincere thanks for the message.@MofaNepal

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, had paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Shrestha on March 7. “We had deep and friendly conservations on bilateral relations and cooperation,” Chen tweeted.

Foreign Minister Shrestha conveyed sincere thanks for both the foreign ministers of China and India for their congratulatory messages, informed Suresh Kaji Shrestha, the personal aide of the Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha.
CPN (Maoist Center)’s senior Vice Chairman Shrestha was elected as the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Nepal on March 6.
