The five-party ruling alliance has unveiled minimum policy priorities and shared resolutions on Tuesday.

The minimum shared resolution was unveiled at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar today by the ruling coalition with the commitments to move ahead by ‘dispelling despair and building trust’ among the citizens.

The new ruling coalition had formed a taskforce to prepare a minimum shared resolution after it was formed on March 4. The task-force formulated ‘minimum policy priorities and shared resolutions’ based on the seven-point agreement reached between the five ruling coalition parties.

The minimum shared resolution has laid down commitments to reinforce the federal democratic republic in accordance with the Constitution and prevent the country from being derailed. Similarly, it has underlined the need to dispel hopelessness and build trust among citizens towards the country by ending impunity and existing economic recession.

The government has prioritized 13 different sectors including doing away with economic slackness, making financial institutions free from irregularities, improving physical infrastructures, ensuring good governance with efficient and prompt service delivery.

Likewise, the shared program also includes promoting work-employment-entrepreneurship, indigenous productions, overhauling education, health and social security, inter-agency coordination, producing energy and developing Information Technology.

Similarly, issues including land management, forest, climate and disaster management, youth and sports, tourism, culture and social harmony, women's participation, empowerment and social inclusion, transitional justice, sustainable peace and protection of national interests and independent and non-aligned foreign policy are included in the shared resolution.

Top-notch leaders of five-party ruling coalition including Prime Minister and chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav were present in the program.
