Tiwari takes charge of Inland Revenue; Niraula heads Customs

Shiva Lal Tiwari has been given the responsibility of the Director General of the Inland Revenue Department.

Finance Minister Barshaman Pun entrusted Tiwari as the DG of the Inland Revenue Department on Wednesday.

Tiwari has already served as the chief of the Large Taxpayers’ Office. Prior to joining the Finance Ministry, Tiwari was working as the DG of the Department of Environment.

Similarly, Dhundi Raj Niraula has been given the responsibility of the DG of the Department of Customs. Earlier, Niraula was working at the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Finance Minister Pun has reshuffled responsibilities of joint secretaries at the Finance Ministry. Shova Kanta Paudel, the DG of the Department of Customs, has been transferred as the chief of the Public Finance Management Training Center.

Similarly, Ram Prasad Acharya, the chief of the PFMTC, has been moved to the Finance Ministry while Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the chief of the Revenue Management Division, has been given the responsibility of the Budget and Program Division.

Likewise, Dhani Ram Sharma has been transferred to the Revenue Management Division while Uttar Kumar Khatri has been moved to the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division.
