The price of petrol has gone up in Nepal.

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state oil monopoly, on Sunday hiked the price of petrol by Rs 4 per liter.

With the new price adjustment, the petrol will now cost Rs 175 per liter in Kathmandu.

The price of other petroleum products except for petrol has remained unchanged, NOC said.

The price of petrol had to be increased after it went up in India, said NOC.

NOC said it has been incurring losses on all petroleum product sales.
