Malaysian King Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has expressed his desire to vist Nepal and view the world's highest peak Mount Everest.
Malaysian King Sultan Abdullah expressed such a desire after the newly appointed Nepali Ambassador to Malaysia Dilli Raj Poudel extended President Bidhya Devi Bhandari's invitation to the Malaysian King to visit Nepal.
"Ambassador Poudel presented his Letters of Credence to the King of Malaysia amidst a special ceremony organized at Istana Negara (National Palace), Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday," said a press note issued by the Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) welcomed Ambassador Poudel to Malaysia and wished him success in his assignment.
The Malaysian King also extended best wishes for the personal health and happiness of President Bhandari as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Nepal.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Datuk Seri Amran Mohamed Zain, Chief of Protocol and senior officials from the National Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia were present on the occasion.
Alongside Ambassador Poudel, 11 other foreign envoys to Malaysia also presented their credentials before the King yesterday.
